Relais & Châteaux is a global association of about 580 independently owned luxury hotels and restaurants in 65 countries, many of them family-run, united by a shared standard of hospitality and gastronomy. Founded in France in 1954 and headquartered in Paris, it markets and represents its members, whose properties together employ about 42,000 people.
